Ahhh the weekend is over! As much as most people dread the ending of the weekend, I really don’t care either way. Since I make my own schedule and usually work the weekend, I actually look forward to the week! And this week, the hubby will hopefully be around a little more so I’m pretty excited. While he was gone over the weekend, I did a little bit of thinking. I really am so blessed by the things and people that are around me. Even though it’s so hard to do life without him sometimes, I’ve been so amazed by how the time always passes so quickly. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my job. I literally sometimes get off and don’t want to go home because I love my salon and the people that I get to work with. Plus I love all of my clients too. Basically I get to go to work and make people feel pretty and be creative and talk all day so it’s pretty great. And on top of that I’ve just got some great people in my life, new friends and old that just remind me that life is full of ups and downs, but at the end of the day we’re all in this together and don’t have to have it all figured out. God’s got that part taken care of. So don’t forget to smile on the hard days and look around at all the good good things that you have in your life.

I snagged this XXL women’s shirt complete with shoulder pads at the Goodwill, and I LOVE it. I love all the embroidered details and the loose fit. It will be perfect with some leather leggings too! The best part is that the grandma that got rid of it probably has no idea how happy she made me. Or how grateful I am for how well she cared for it. Basically brand new. I love the simple look of a detailed top with some cute skinnies and booties. Add some flowers and braids, and you’ve got the perfect feminine look. I’ll probably be posting a tutorial on this five strand braid mash-up I did. And then I just added a regular braid at the bottom because I was doing two shoots, and um hello, had to change up the hair for the second one. 😛

Happy Monday! muah
