Conquering Midi Skirt Fears with Tobi

Hello ladies! Happy Wednesday! So I’m currently writing you from my couch snuggled up with a cup of coffee. Annnnnd I’m still barely awake. And it’s almost 10am. I made the best/worst decision last night to take some NyQuil, and whelp we all know how that goes. 😛 I was out super late over the weekend for my sister’s birthday party (totally worth it because ummmm DANCING! 💃 ) and I think not sleeping really hit me hard because now I’ve got this super dumb cold!

But enough about that, let’s talk about this midi skirt from Tobi. So I have wanted a midi skirt FOREVER. But I’m short. And I’ve always thought short plus midi equals no bueno. (I’ll do pencil midis but flared ones had always scurrrred me.) But I see them EVERYWHERE and keep wanting one so I knew it was time to finally try this one from Tobi. ANNNNND I love it! I just felt so feminine and girly in it. I don’t know if it’s just because it’s the perfect length and material or maybe because my fears of shortness and midi-ness together were wrong! Either way, this skirt is perfect. I love the color too, perfect for spring. Plus there’s other color options to choose from if you want something different. I cannot say enough good things about Tobi as you saw in this post here. Also, be sure you sign up for their mailing list because they are always having sales that you definitely won’t want to miss out on (Like right now they are having an EXTRA 30% off of sale items!). I paired the skirt with this DRESS from H and M! If you’re ever thinking “Oh this dress would be perfect with this outfit if it were a shirt”. Well you just gotta make it one like I did! I love the grid print of the top mixed with the texture on the skirt. A perfect start for all of you just a little bit scared of pattern mixing. I linked two super cute (and inexpensive) grid tops above that I just love and would be perfect with this skirt!

So if you’ve got a fear of some style of clothing, I say TRY it! And I bet you’ll actually like it!

I’m off to spend some time with the family today. My cousin is in town from Michigan (brrrr) so we are going down to the beach for a bit!

Hope you all have the happiest Wednesday! xoxox

P.S. If you need a laugh, watch this. (I don’t know why but I just love her.) True story, my husband convinced me to do the cinnamon challenge when we were dating. And no joke I was hacking forever just like her. I had it on video but when it got funny, and I started hacking, my hubs felt bad and stopped recording. 😛
