Hello There, Yellow

Yellow has always kind of scared me. My hair is “yellow” (I’m a hairdresser so I can say that 😛 ), and I always feel like my skin tone just doesn’t quite work with yellow so I’ve never really bought much of it. I’ve always envied girls with that perfect olive skin tone that can totally rock mustard yellow like nobody’s business. I think I own one piece of yellow clothing but I’ve had it forever so it’s probably heading to Goodwill soon. Until now. I saw this sweater on the clearance rack at H and M and was immediately drawn to the color. It’s so bright and perfect for spring. But to be honest, I was just trying it sort of for fun. (Is it just me, or does anyone else try things on all the time even if you’re not planning to buy anything?! 😛 ) I didn’t think it would actually work! AND THEN I PUT IT ON AND FELL IN LOVE. So of course I had to get it. I have worn it like three times in the last week! And now, I wonder if I have been missing out on lots of other colors too over the past few years just because I failed to try them! Sometimes I guess it’s just best to try things before ya knock them, right? ( I mean that’s what I used to tell my hubby every time I tried to get him to eat the veggies I always make. 😛 )

I have been in Utah since last Wednesday, and I have been having the best time! I have three little nieces, and they are SO much fun. Yesterday we went to Antelope Island and saw a bunch of buffalo and the Great Salt Lake. The scenery was AMAZING. I may be doing a little blog post recap on my trip so I’ll share some of the photos we took! Today we are going to some hot springs a few hours away, and I can’t wait! I will be heading home tomorrow, and I know it will be so sad to leave the girls but I CAN’T WAIT to see my hubby. I miss him so much!
