Why I Blog 💙💙💙

I don’t know what it was but yesterday I felt stirred to share why I blog. Maybe because I’ve been questioning myself for the answer to that. Like what am I all about? Why am I here every week, posting outfits and hair tutorials, and sharing my life with you all. To be honest, in the past few weeks, I’ve been feeling a little insecure about my blog and my Instagram. It’s so easy to look at people growing by leaps and bounds and wondering why your numbers stay the same when you feel so excited about the content you’re posting. It can be so discouraging. But then I started asking myself why I’m doing this, and the answer doesn’t care about numbers or stats. The answer cares about YOU. And that is why I do this.

Deep down, aside from any of the perks of blogging, I am here every week to tell you YOU are valuable. You’re beautiful, and you matter in this big old world. I want people to come to my blog and feel inspired and encouraged. Inspired to try new things, to shop new places, and encouraged to celebrate the bodies we were given through the art of dress. I want girls to stop feeling insecure about their bodies and their looks. I want girls to know that their life matters, that they have something to offer. I promise you I am just a normal girl who loves hair and fashion. But you want to know what else, I know that I am valuable and important. Yes, I have my days where I get down on myself or feel inadequate, but when it’s all said and done, I know I have a God who has called me worthy, and I believe it to the very core of my being. And it’s my desire that you know that too. Because it is THE best feeling ever. It keeps you from being hindered by you fears and allows you to pursue your dreams and become the best YOU you can be. So know that in the midst of every blog post and hair tutorial, there’s a girl behind it all praying for you to know that you are loved and valued and important.

I also want you to feel like we’re friends! I want you to come here to this space and feel welcome and know that I’m talking (writing) to you the same way I would my best friends! There is almost nothing that brings me greater joy than helping people so if you ever have any questions about anything at all, feel free to email me and ask! One of my followers emailed me last week with a question about hair color, and I was so excited to hopefully help her and answer all of her questions!

Lastly, I blog simply because I love it. Outfits and clothes excite me! I love a good deal on super cute trendy items, and I want to share that. I also believe that if everyone just takes a little time to learn, they could totally braid their hair so that’s why I make tutorials! You don’t have to have the world’s best hair, you just have to be willing to take a little time and learn some tricks to make your hair awesome.

So I hope that you see all that when you come to my little space of the internet and that you feel welcome and know that I appreciate every single one of you! Oh, and about this outfit, I’m super sad but this top is sold out! I even searched it on Forever, and it came up but then when you click it, it takes you back to all the dresses. #tear But I linked some tops that are a similar style, and maybe Forever will restock it! This whole look is super “me”. I love wearing all different styles, but when it comes down to it, this is what I feel the most me in. What style makes you feel the most “you”?
