Hieeeee! HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY FRIDAY! Why so many happy’s and all caps?!  Because my hubby comes home today! Eeeeek! I’m so excited! He’s been gone two weeks. I saw him twice for a handful of hours but it’s time we finally go to bed at night in the same bed. Ahhhh, I can’t wait. Plus, I do work some next week but not a ton, and hubby will not be at work or school so that means lots and lots of bae time. And then we leave to Cancun next Saturday!

Now on to today’s post! When I saw this tee from Basics NYC, I knew I had to have it. They’re a Christian company, and I love the message on this tee so much. Growing up I was definitely not like the rest of my friends. I had very strict parents, so for starters I wasn’t allowed to do a lot of things my friends were allowed to do. Then as I got older, I adopted a lot of parents standards for myself. And maybe threw a few out the window. (Sorry, Mom! 😛 ) But I always kept in mind one thing in specific. A Bible verse. It’s my all time favorite. And I guess what I would consider my “life verse”. In fact, I told myself the only thing I would MAYBE get tattooed on me would be this verse. (Don’t worry, Mom. I’ve got no plans. 😛 ) The verse is I Timothy 4:12, and it says, “Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.” Ahhhh. So good. I remember at times thinking I was too young to voice my thoughts and lead people. But I took encouragement from this verse and have always kept it at the forefront of my mind. And when I go to do anything I ask myself if I’m setting an example in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. It hasn’t always been easy, but choosing to not be like the rest of them has definitely brought me more fulfillment than anything else I could have done instead.

I paired the tee with my OTHER new distressed denim (I have been on the lookout for a few, each needing to meet certain qualifications 😛 ), a lace kimono, a hat and sandals. This is the perfect way to dress up a graphic tee! Another way I love to wear them is just with jeans and tennies for a super casual look! Also, these sunnies are my new fave! I’ve been looking for a pair of round ones but all the ones I’ve found sit too far off of my face! So these turned out to be perfect! I couldn’t find the exact ones but they’re still in store, or I linked some similar!

Hope you all have the best weekend!

xoxox,

Christine
