Lacey and Laced

July 16, 2015

Same hair as Wednesday’s post just pinned up! (Tutorial coming soon!)                 Dress: Sheinside here; Shoes: Forever 21 here

So a few weeks ago I screenshot a gorgeous Free People dress that I was in love with. Lacey, romantic and a little bit boho. Ahhhh. My favorite. But super out of my price range. (Ya’ll know I’m a deal hunter so it’s rare for me to splurge unless it’s for a special event.) A few days later, I was browsing one of my fave online shops and found this pretty little number I’m wearing in today’s posts, and my jaw dropped. It was almost the exact dress I wanted from Free People; it just was sleeveless instead! (See the original Free People one here.) I literally could not believe it. And it was a fraction of the cost. I’ve bought several things from SheInside so I knew from experience that despite what the price tag might lead you to believe, everything is really great quality. I am in love with this dress. It is a little short in the back but I just paired it with a lacey crop and a tight black skirt underneath and voilal! You better believe I’ll be pairing with some distressed denim too! I absolutely love when I find crazy cute things for such a good deal.

P.S. What do you all think about these shoes?! I kept seeing them at Forever and on Instagram and went back and forth about how I felt about them. But since I couldn’t get them out of my head, I went for it! (That’s my general rule if I can’t decide if I want something. If I leave and am still thinking I want it a week later, I probably need it. 😛 ) And I’ve already worn them twice this week so I’m thinking it was a good move! They’re a little bold for me, but I also love that they can instantly jazz up any outfit! I also paired them with distressed denim and a tee earlier this week. See it here, and follow me. Duh. 😛

Hope you all have had the best week! Ben goes back to work today, and I’m a little sad. He obviously needs to but his schedule is a little rough because he usually works 24-hour shifts. I know it’ll be ok, but it’s been so AMAZING to have so much time together over the past few weeks! And now we have to adjust back to normal life. Lame. Jk. We DID just buy tickets to see Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Brantley Gilbert and Old Dominion next weekend for my birthday though. Super duper excited about that. Country jams are THE best.

Oh, annnnnd if any of you noticed my scrapes. Yup. I’m five. And nope. I didn’t photo shop them out. Ain’t nobody got time for dat! We were playing volleyball last weekend, and I dove to hit the ball and there was totally a rock under where I dove! It would have been a cool story. Except I dove for nothing because the ball didn’t make it over. 😛

Love you guys! Thanks for coming by!
