Wearing Dresses with Sneakers

July 12, 2015

Dress: H & M, similar here; Shoes: H & M here; Purse: Target here; Lipstick: NYX Indie Flick here

I love the look of dresses with sneakers. It’s a tricky look to pull off but when it’s done right, it’s so cute. And not to mention, you’re comfy all day! Your dress needs to be just the right style for it to work. I try to look for something that’s a little more simple. Stripes or solid or maybe a simple print that’s a little more casual (like this look I wore here). Super flowy or floral dresses wouldn’t necessarily be the best choice. (But I also say, never say never when it comes to fashion!) The sneakers you pair it with should be “fashionable” sneakers. Meaning they are usually a little more sleek and simple looking than your regulalr workout shoes (just avoid shoes with lots of curves and bumps, if that makes sense. 😛 ). I love these ones I got at H&M! They kind of remind me of the Adidas Three Stripe (which I still want 😛 ). I also have few pairs of Nikes that I will pair dresses too! Roshes, Nike Air Maxes, and Kaishis are all good matches for wearing with dresses, jeans or skirts for an every day outfit.

I got this white dress at the H&M sale that has been going on. If you haven’t gone yet, GO. Everything is so cheap! I couldn’t find this exact dress online, but I linked something similar, and you may still be able to find it in store! And this purse is my summer jam. It looks like a designer bag, and every time I use it people ask about it and are surprised to hear it’s from Target! Seeing these photos kinda makes me miss my pink hair! But I’m also loving my summer blonde. 😛

How was your weekend? Mine was SO nice! I didn’t have to work Saturday so I went with two of my girlfriends to get pedicures and then we laid out by the pool. Yesterday, Ben and I did a fun little workout in the morning and then met some of our friends down by the beach. We’re so lucky to live in a place where the beach is just a short drive away. Every time we got to the beach, we promise ourselves we are going to go more so yesterday was hopefully just one of many summer beach days!

P.S. I’m SOOOO excited! My blogger bestie, Alena, booked her ticket this weekend to come visit right after my birthday in two weeks! We haven’t seen each other since January so I’m really excited for her to come so we can spend some QT together!

Have the best week!

Wow, you look absolutely great in this outfit! 😀
I really like your sneakers. Do you wear them with really low socks or go you go sockless?

Aww thank you so much! Yes, I just go sockless usually! Sometimes even the low ones slip off of your heel and are annoying. haha. Or maybe I just need to find the right ones. But anywho, yes sockless. 😛 xoxoxo
