Top: Vici, sold out, similar here; Shorts: She Inside here; Cardigan: Old, similar here; Shoes: Vici c/o here;

Over the past few years with all the fun music festivals happening, there, of course, have been fashion trends associated with those festivals. I like to think too though that a “festival” look is just a fun, carefree summery vibe. And if you’ve ever been to a festival yourself, you know it can be hot so light fabrics, shorts, rompers, and flowy things are a must! The boho style of all the festival looks happens to be one of my personal favorite styles to wear! It feels very me, something I would wear on a normal basis. (In fact, I went to work after we shot these photos. Just had to swap the wedges out for sandals since I stand all day!). I am loving the cut of this tank! Unfortunately it’s already sold out, but I will keep you updated if it comes back in stock! I bought these shorts last summer and can’t stop wearing them! They are less than $20 and high waisted so they work well with all the shorter tops that are in style right now. And ummmm can we talk about these cute wedges from Vici. Give me ALLLL the lace up shoes right now. I may have gotten three other lace up shoes in the mail this week… You can find them here. If you wanted to take this look to an all day festival, I would just add a hat like THIS and some lace up sandals like THESE.

So of course with the onset of summer and wearing shorts and dresses, we all want to start getting our tan on! Because don’t you know “life’s better tan”. But I decided a few years ago that damaging my skin just so I could be my tan friend’s version of white wasn’t really worth it. So I’ve sort of embraced the fact that I’m going to just be kinda white but I still want at least a little bit of a glow! (Don’t get me wrong if I go on vacay or to the beach, you will definitely find me soaking up some UV rays but I don’t just go layout in my backyard any chance I get to try to get a tan like I used to! And if I am laying out I’ve got sunscreen on.) Alright so this brings me to the point of all of this! I have become a believer in self tanners! After a devastating bout with them in seventh grade where I turned up to youth group with the orangest legs ever, it took me a while to trust them again. BUT I found THIS, and it’s the BOMB! I generally mix it with lotion before I put it on because I have found that the application is easier and you avoid missing spots! I think I also like this better because I am so white so I prefer a more subtle glow! I know a lot of people use tanning gloves but I just use my hands and make sure to wash them immediately. And if I do get stained, baking soda gets it off. Or I just pretend it’s color stains from last night’s client. 😛

Hope you all have a happy Friday! I’m off but I have a million things to do around the house and food prep and getting ready for a baby shower I’m helping host this weekend! So excited to see my man tomorrow too and catch up on life!

xoxo,

Christine
