Chunky sweaters are one of my favorite things about fall. There’s just something about throwing on some jeans and a big ol’ sweater that make you feel just the right kind of cozy and just the right kind of put together. I love that this grey knit oversized sweater from Chicwish has the surprise opening in the back to give it a little something extra. I paired it with my favorite white Topshop jeans, some sneaks and my new hat I found at Target this last week. I took off the braided leather piece around the top of the hat so I could pair it with more styles. But I saved it so I can put it back whenever I want, and I was also thinking it would be fun to get some black lace ribbon to tie around it too!

These last few days have been the best! Ben and I had some much needed QT together, and on Monday, we spent the day exploring L.A. We went to Shake Shack, walked through some pretty neighborhoods, grabbed coffee at Alfred Coffee, then went to The Grove to walk around and do some shopping. We then headed to this place called Bestia we have been wanting to try for dinner. We almost made reservations a few times but they literally don’t have anything unless you book months in advance. Recently though, we heard from Ben’s friend that if we went on a weekday between 5:30pm and 6:30pm and asked to sit at the bar (which has a full menu), we could probably get in. So that’s what we did, and we were surprised when we were able to walk right in! The ambiance of the restaurant is so cool, and the food was delicious. If you go, make sure you plan to spend more than usual on your dinner date, but it’s so worth it. We felt like we had a dining experience and tried a bunch of things we normally wouldn’t have tried, like Chicken Liver Pate and Bone Marrow!  My favorite thing might have been the dessert with was Maple Fritters with Huckleberry Iee Cream. To die for.

Happy sweater season, and let me know if you try any of the places we went to in L.A. and what you think!

xoxo,

Christine
